I suppose we all have a picture of a snowbound Christmas home in our mind’s eye as the ideal Christmas vignette. Having spent my childhood in Illinois, I, too, associate the season with grey skies, tons of snow, sledding and ice skating. Don spent several childhood years in Alaska–brrrrr-too cold even for me–and he, too associates snow and cold with Christmas. Now in the South, the 70 degree, sunny days we’ve had this week bely the fact that the big day is rapidly approaching! So, tonight we are going on a light tour of homes around town. That should be fun AND help us to realize that Christmas is NEXT WEEK!!!

We will use a light tour list prepared by our local newspaper to choose our drive tonight. We plan to take our parents on an abbreviated tour before Christmas, too. So, we will get to see lots of lights this year. And, of course I plan to take photos! We do love the lights and it will be nice to have a page devoted to them–something I’ve not done yet!

Ho-Ho-Ho! Merry Christmas!!
