We love Soccer at our house. Don used to play with a team at work, and he enjoys watching the professional games very much. He coached kids’ soccer for several years, too, and thoroughly understands the emotions from ‘both sides’ of the fence! One thing we love about Soccer is that both boys and girls can play and do very well at it. We are thrilled that opportunities for girls to enjoy team sports are becoming more prevalent and that girls are encouraged to participate.

I kept the colors in this kit rather muted, but did include a bright ‘hot pink’ textured paper to add a little spice. The papers include the expected ’soccer ball’ backgrounds, but I’ve thrown in a background covered with words and terms used in the game, too. Then, there is also the black and silver diamond paper and the multi-colored geometric paper, both of which I really like. The pin-dots don’t show up as well as I would like in the preview, but the dotted papers coordinate nicely with the stripe, and all the other papers in the kit, of course, offering you so many paper combinations.

Then there are the embellishments. Wow! Besides the ‘working’ scoreboard, there are t-shirts, epoxy soccer player figures, word stickers, ‘prize’ ribbons, frames, cardboard stars with and without glitter, a soccer field stitch outline, and even criss-crossed shoelace segments so you can ‘lace up’ portions of your layouts. And, wait, there’s more! Take a look at the kit, and be sure to read the list of contents on the left side of the page because the preview is so crowded you might miss something! Nevertheless, here are a couple of small previews!
