I can feel a couple of new whiskers on one side of my chin. I may be forced to ask Don to pluck them, ’cause I can’t see them with my one good eye. Crap. Soon there will be no secrets.

Previously…
I’ve reached that age where ugly things are growing on my body out in the open where anyone can see them. Whiskers, for example, have been plaguing me for several years. I’m dark skinned and dark haired, so naturally my whiskers are DARK. Well, except for the short stubby white ones. These little buggers pop up mostly in the mustache area and around my chin. They are disgusting. What to do? For years I’ve been plucking the hairs out, one humiliating hair at a time. There. It’s out in the open. Yeah, I tried the hair removers. All of which leave a totally slick skin area that makeup refuses to adhere to, PLUS all the hairs grow back at once, creating razor stubble. Horrors! No, I haven’t officially ever SHAVED those areas. But I DID purchase a little gizmo that ‘gently ERASES the unwanted hair on your facial areas’. It’s a cute little pen-shaped gizmo with a battery, and it makes a little whir sound as it gently ‘erases’ the hair. Yeah, it has a blade in it, and sure enough, it actually IS a shaver for ladies. But it’s so darned cute you don’t feel like you’re actually SHAVING. So not so bad, except for again creating razor stubble. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are out ’cause I can’t hide out for six weeks while the whiskers all grow out at the same time. Nor could I bear to see myself in that condition. Eeeeeyewwww! I just bought a fabulous NEW pair of tweezers that make this nasty job a little easier. They work like a champ, I must say. So I shall carry on. You know, I actually got the idea of plucking these little buggers from watching my high school history teacher, who was an American Indian, pluck his sparse beard as he conducted classes. Wow, THAT was a long time ago…..

Am I missing an easy solution to this dilemma? Is there a makeup now that won’t slide off of hairless faces? Help!!!
