Thanksgiving Memories

Although we enjoyed the delicious food on Thanksgiving, spending time with family is the best part of the holiday for us. It is one of the few times when everything slows down a bit and we are able to talk and share some activities together.
Having two grandmas and a papa in the house to dote on the kids was nice, and they thoroughly enjoyed the extra attention from us. We had so much fun with them. Their energy seems boundless, and they approach everything as an adventure.

On Thursday they didn’t believe that the pool would be too cold to enjoy a little dip. Chach never made it into the pool after Stein jumped in and then scrambled back out shouting ‘it’s freezing!’. She’s no dummy and had nothing to prove, so she stayed dry and warm. Fortunately they didn’t think Phoebe needed to test the water!

Chach and Stein play well together, and had no problem coming up with ideas when they tired of grandmas and papa. They built a city in the hallway and used the buildings for their cars and dolls’ imaginary lives.

They lined up their stuffed animal friends and played school and family.
Everything returned to normal when we left, and that’s a good thing. As much fun as it is to visit and share time together, everyone finally looks forward to returning to the familiar routines of daily life. But, look out, here comes Christmas before you can say 1-2-3! And I’m so not ready!
