In The Air There’s A Feeling Of Christmas
filed in Misc on Dec.06, 2008
Have you ever noticed in your neighborhood how the houses decked out with lights are huddled together in clusters? In our subdivision you can drive for several streets without seeing a single Christmas light, then suddenly there will be 5-6 houses very near to each other decorated like the Griswolds in Christmas Vacation. I love to drive and look at all the light displays, and applaud everyone who has the patience, time (and money!) to provide the rest of us with such beautiful entertainment.

I drove through the area tonight with my camera in hand, and stopped to snap photos at all the best displays. I shot 31 pics of about 25 displays, and only 3 of my photos were clear enough to use—one of which you can see above. Rats! I was sure I held the camera very still, but looking at the results it’s obvious that I shook it pretty badly. Tomorrow is another day and I’ll give it another try.
Meantime, in case you haven’t seen this light and music display yet, click and watch for some fun. Talk about patience, time, and money! I love this one and its catchy tune. The guy who set it up said it took 6 months to program the music and three months to hang all the lights. Cars driving by the display can tune to 88.7 on the radio to hear Coco Jambo music. YOU can see and hear it HERE from the comfort of your computer chair! Enjoy!
