The little MP3 player we bought this weekend plays and operates beautifully! I’m so pleased with it! I spent several hours last night ripping music from my CDs to download to the player, and with Don’s help, I got it all done. The sound is great, and I’ve finally got the hang of how to find the music I want in the folders. Guess you can tell I haven’t had anything like this until now. Better late than never.

There are two things that bummed me about this adventure. First, the instruction booklet that accompanies the player is relatively thorough and concise, but the print is so teeny tiny I had to get a magnifying glass to read it. I finally scanned the pages, blew them up, and printed them out large enough to be read without magnifiers. What a pain. The second thing is the little ‘loop’ on the player that you hook the neck lariat into. I can’t imagine what they were thinking when they came up with it, but it’s a challenge to get the tiny little ‘stiff loop’ through it. Proving them ‘right’, however, I finally succeeded in pushing it through and then pulling the earpiece strap back through, completing the connection.

I thoroughly enjoyed going through my music last night, and there are so many CDs I haven’t listened to in so long, it’s almost like hearing them for the first time. Not really, I almost wore them out, but it is nice to renew our old acquaintance. So I am a happy camper and will now be entertained while on the treadmill. Just have to follow through and start that commitment….soon.
