Moving Day!

You know how when something is coming sometime in the future it seems so far away and you think you have loads of time to prepare? So you ease into whatever it is ’cause there’s no need to rush because it’s way-way-way out there. And then you wake up and it’s Today. Yep. That’s how it goes around here. Tomorrow is our big day; movers coming in early to pack and load and we’ll be on our way to our new home and an all new adventure in living.
Lucky for us we didn’t unpack everything because we knew we would be changing homes, we just didn’t know how soon. Turns out it was a couple of years. Opening our packed boxes this time will be like Christmas–I just hope we like what we get, heh heh.
We’ve been taking carloads of stuff to the new house–breakables and things that they just don’t make a box to fit. And our cats. They weren’t happy, not one bit. The yowling and growling and howling would make you think we were torturing them on the drive over. Our cats do not like changes of any kind; they want everything to stay the same Always. No exceptions. Well, our cats have been so out of luck the last few years, but they have managed to adjust. Although they will never forgive us for bringing dogs into the house. That was pushing them too far. But we buy all their food and we keep them captive inside the house, so they have learned to live with it. Lucky cats!
I’m off to pack some more stuff into the car(s). We hope to get 2-3 more trips in tonight so the movers will have a lot more room to maneuver tomorrow.
All of us are going to sleep well tonight!
