And We’re Moving, And We’re Moving, And . . .

Yep, we are still moving stuff out of the old house. It seems it will never end, but it has to end by the 31st, so there’s that. Unfortunately, my brain went on holiday when I talked with the Water Dept. and had our meter read on the 21st; they proceeded to turn water off the same day. Grass seeds just germinating have since died for lack of ability to water them. My very very bad mistake. So we now must reseed and water and hope something will sprout where there is now a dead circle from the above-ground pool. Fingers crossed.
Dogs love the new place and especially the yard. They’ve run themselves silly and driven us crazier than normal because there is actual landscaping we don’t want them to destroy. And believe me, 3 dogs are the best destroyer of flora you can get, if you have time to wait. So we are constantly on guard in the yard when they are there, too.
The ‘red’ carpet in the living areas needs to be vacuumed daily, but that isn’t happening, you can be sure. Lucky’s white fur and the cats’ white fur leave a snowy residue, pretty uniformly, all over the carpet. Still thinking about shaving all our animals. Not really. But sure would reduce the snow.
Gotta run and get more stuff from the other house. Plus turn the sprinklers on the poor, parched ground. Hoping the water crew have turned it on by now (was scheduled for today ‘sometime’). Maybe watering will soften the earth for tomorrow’s new grass seed.
Did I say I’d rather take a beating than move?
