Don and I have gained and lost weight several times over the years, but the gaining always seemed to be more than the losing. Finally, we decided it was time to do something permanent about our ‘problem’. Something permanent being a change in our entire approach to losing weight. What to do?
We had tried South Beach twice, losing weight each time. But we always drifted right back into our old habits the minute we finished the diet, and the weight would slowly creep back. This time neither of us could face another round of salads, fish (it always tastes the same on that diet!), and low carbs. So we decided to adopt a different approach this time, and it has worked very well. In five months I lost 30 pounds and Don lost 40 pounds, and we never felt hungry or deprived. How did we do it?
